Experience the wonder of St. Mark's Basilica on this unique guided tour! This impressive cathedral was built between 828 and 832 and was supposed to house the alleged relics of Saint Mark the Evangelist stolen from Alexandria.
It was initially built in the Byzantine style, which showcased the importance of the Venetian Republic. But over time, the building underwent several modifications, especially in terms of decoration. Nowadays, this cathedral features an impressive mix of styles: oriental and accidental, gothic and Roman. Inside, there are gold mosaics spanning an impressive 43,000 square feet and marble decorations of different colours.
