Why the Camp Nou Tour is a Must for Football Fans

Camp Nou is and has always been an emblematic place. Being a house stadium of the legendary Football Club Barcelona, the stadium shared the fame with the football team.

The first stadium of FC Barcelona, called Les Corts, was constructed in 1922. In 1957 it was replaced by a newer and bigger stadium, that we know today as the Camp Nou. Camp Nou, with the capacity of around 93,000 seats, was designed to fit the growing popularity of the football team. Since 1957, Camp Nou housed thousands of matches, including FC Barcelona home matches and International games.

Camp Nou witnessed dozens of legendary goals, scored by the renowned players, legends and stars of the football, such as Lionel Messi, Ronald Koeman, Andrés Iniesta, Ronaldinho and Sergi Roberto.

If any stadium in the world deserved the rank of an emblematic stadium ,it certainly is the Camp Nou!

If you like football, know the most famous players and have seen the best matches, then you should definitely visit the Camp Nou. But even if you an absolute amateur and only know the players, that can not be missed, Camp Nou is still the place that you might want to visit.

What to Expect on the Camp Nou Tour

Camp Nou Stadium has always offered visits for the football fans. Being one of the most requested museums in Barcelona, Camp Nou used to offer visit to the trophy room, lockers, museum and the stadium itself. The visitors could look at the field from the press room, as if they were the journalists commenting on the match.

But the time does not stand still, and the moment came to change. The Camp Nou has to adapt, in order to continue being a legend.

At the moment the Barca home stadium is under construction, but the visits still go on. Instead of walking through the field and lockers, visitors have a privilege to visit a new immersive museum, occupying the 2,400 m2 of the old ice rink, and see the construction site and to see with their own eyes the historic moment of the transformation.

The museum is totally interactive. The visitors can see the past, present and even the future of the world-famous football team, witness the most important moments, look through the list of emblematic players, watch the history-changing goals…

The star moment of the visit is the Immersive space, called SPOTIFY CAMP NOU LIVE. This is the place where everyone can convert into the football player and experience first-hand how it feels to be a member of the legendary team, standing in the middle of the stadium, amidst the fans applause.

The seats in the exhibition hall have by the way been taken from the old stadium. So you can sit on the seats once used by the famous football team. It makes the show even more exciting. Just imagine, that you can sit on the same place, where Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho, Johan Cruyff or Xavi Hernández used to wait for their turn to join into the game.

The immersive tour continues with the Espai Barca space, where one can see the architecture plans and models that show how the stadium will look like after the reconstruction.
