Museum of the City of New York
The Museum of the City of New York offers a glimpse into the history and culture of the city. The collection, which includes over 1.5 million items, includes paintings, drawings, sculptures, manuscripts, photographs, costumes, furniture, and a lovely gathering of toys. Most of the exhibits date from the 19th or 20th century and are supposed to preserve and promote the life and culture of New York citizens. Located on East 103rd Street, near Central Park, this museum is not as popular as Metropolitan or MoMa, but if you want to explore and investigate the history of New York, this is the place you should visit.
